Riding School

Learn to ride, properly

Riding is taught here the patient way: good foundations first, then height and speed. Our school takes riders aged 7 and above from their very first lesson to advanced show jumping and dressage, with a clear path between the two.

Your journey as a rider

BeginnerBalance, confidence and control at walk and trot. You'll learn to handle your horse on the ground and in the saddle, with an instructor beside you every step.
Intermediate 1Canter work, independent riding and the first introduction to poles and small fences.
Intermediate 2Course work, jumping technique and refinement of the rider's seat and aids.
AdvancedShow jumping and dressage at competition standard, including the opportunity to train alongside MEC's competing team.

Riders are assessed and placed at the level that fits them — you never start further back than you need to.
